The healthcare sector is now using steam to clean and sanitise every area throughout a hospital, aged care facility or nursing home and steam is now proven as a highly effective method for infection control.

Contract Cleaning

Contract cleaners are more often finding that by including the use of steam cleaners in their tendering process that it creates a greater opportunity to gain more business. It ads a unique selling advantage and quite simply creates a cleaner clean.

The areas a contract cleaner can use a steamer for work are all the areas listed here and more. Some cleaners specialise in areas such as chewing gum removal, range hood cleaning, or grout cleaning. Where as other cleaners will use a steam machine as versitile tool to use as new or difficult jobs come up.

Steam cleaning kitchens

In a kitchen, steam cleaners can be used for cleaning walls, floors, grout, range hoods, ovens, fridge seals, greasy floors, icy floors and is the most hygenic way to clean and sanitise stainless steel bench tops. In most cases no chemicals are required however on heavily soiled areas a mild detergent can be injected into the steam flow by simply pushing a button on the handle.

Cleaning cars

With water restricions continuing to be a massive problem in most areas of Australia steam is a fantastic way to clean cars both inside and out. The use of steam in conjunction with a microfibre cloth with produce amzing results on most surfaces include car exteriors. The high temperature of the steam will not damage the surface of your car but you must ensure the steam nozzle doesn't touch the paint surface. 10 to 20cm away from the surface will create enough moisture to clean the car.

Bed bugs

Bed bugs are instantly killed with temperatures above 60 degrees and are no match for the power of steam. The use of steam to kill bed bugs has now been included in the bed bug code of practice.
